Endodontics - Home Care

Your pet has had an endodontic procedure performed today and some simple after care is required.

Remember that your pet has had an anaesthetic today and may be a little sluggish.  It is important that you do not feed a large meal tonight as it may cause the animal to vomit.  For this reason it is best to feed approximately half of the normal amount tonight and back to normal tomorrow.

The fillings used on your pet’s teeth require a few days to set fully and it is best to avoid mouth games for that time.  If you notice that a filling is missing at any time, please notify us immediately.

Your pet has also been given regional nerve blocks for pain relief.  This is very effective and other types of pain relief are usually not required.

If you feel that something is not quite right, please contact us immediately.
